What this preview stores
This preview build stores your session, photos, lyrics, and videos in your browser's local storage. While FAL_KEY is unset, the photo stays in the browser. Calls to this site's mock API include the story and the lyrics, not the image file. When that server key is set, generating a video sends the photo to our API and then to fal for a safety check and lip-sync. The key itself stays on the server.
What the live service will collect
When the live adapters are switched on, we expect to process: your email, the photos you upload, the names and details you type, the lyrics, the generated audio and video, basic device and IP data for abuse prevention, and the PayPal order id. We do not want your card number on our servers.
Photos are planned to be deleted after 30 days. Videos are planned to be kept for 180 days unless you delete them sooner. Credit balances follow the 180-day pack expiry.
Processors we expect to use
fal for the safety check, the original beat, and lip-sync, and only when FAL_KEY is set. Rewriting lyrics stays on our side and does not call fal. Cloudflare D1 for accounts, sessions, the credit ledger, and videos, with Better Auth. Google for sign-in when GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID is set. Resend for magic-link email when RESEND_API_KEY is set. PayPal for payment, with credits added only after a captured order. Cloudflare for hosting and web analytics. Analytics load only when a measurement ID is configured. If the ID is empty, the analytics components render nothing. While those keys are empty, the site stays on the in-browser mock and purchase buttons say coming soon.
Deletion
In this preview, Account has a control that deletes the local account and the videos stored in this browser. On the live service, the same control will delete the account and queue stored photos and videos for removal. You can also email hello@rhymecam.com.
